Police Brutality

Police brutality will always be present in the eyes of the public caused by their relentless use of force, continued racial profiling and the lack of some form of governing power. It is because of the latter that the people, now more than ever, are calling out for police brutality to be suppressed.

My main argument is against Police Brutality. I believe strongly that officers in the US specifically have gained too much personal power over the years. This is caused by no governing power being present. When you let a child run around without any rules or guidelines, that child is going to become rebellious and in this case a bully. Our “children” are the police force, not the entirety, but for sure a majority. And they need to be governed to stop all of the unnecessary force causing harm to many people.

The relentless force seems to be never ending. Every day you hear a story about how someone has been abused by the law. Some of these are true, some are false, but at the end of the day the cases that are true far outweigh the ones that didn’t happen. There is no need for officers to be extremely forceful on the public. They need to uphold what they swore to do so, to protect and serve. Instead it seems as if all they do is batter and arrest.
