Making Fall Break One Class Closer..

As fall break grows closer, many students are becoming more and more excited about the break from the stressful load of college. Although school is important to maintain education and intelligence in our society, breaks from school are necessary to maintain a sain and successful learning experience. In regards to fall break specifically, the break officially ends when the weekend for the college student begins. This break may be shorter than most, but it still serves to help students in several ways both mentally and physically.
For many students, this break begins on Thursday, as many students have no classes Friday. For the few unfortunate students that have class Friday, their break is held off until the weekend. It is a bad idea to make these students wait because many of them seek to begin their break with their friends on thursday. Because of this want to not be in class, many students will not pay attention and merely watch the clock as they wait for their final classes before break to end. These students are wasting both the teacher and their own time by not intercepting the lesson being taught. For this reason, class should end for all students at the same time so students will not be upset and wanting to be out of class because so many of their fellow college students are.
Another key point as to why their should be no class on Friday is that this also allows more time for the student to rest and catch up on any unfinished work. The extended amount of time out of class allows students who are behind in their work to catch up and become more prepared for class after fall break. This time to catch up on work can also apply for the teachers who may need extra time to grade assignments or relax from the world of education. This one extra class of time could allow for both the student and the teacher to get a lot of unfinished work completed.
The necessity of a canceled class on Friday is very important in order to allow both the student and the teacher to rest. With one less class period, students may start their break earlier and either catch up on their assignments or begin to relax from the stressful tolls of school. Overall, the question to have class on friday should not be a question because we both know that both of our lives would be easier without class! The time to start both of our breaks would begin making everyone happy in the end.
