Care-Free and Outgoing

Tattoos can say many different things about people.  They can describe their personality, be a small remembrance of a loved one, or even a way to show you care about someone.  The subject matter and the size all play a part in determining the meaning behind a certain tattoo one would get on their body.  I have always had a fascination with butterflies.  They can come and go whenever they feel like it.  This woman has several large butterflies down her back.  They give the appearance of motion through the different positions of the wings in each part of the tattoo.  This lady’s tattoo suggests that she is a care free person because butterflies are care free.  Butterflies also are light and airy giving a sense of peace, calmness, and tranquility in this woman’s life.  The tattoo that this woman has is incredibly large and going down her back, almost covering her whole back.  Due to the large scale of this lady’s tattoo, she also seems to be very outgoing.  To put such a large permanent mark on your body is a very bold thing to do.  That is because it would be very hard to conceal at all times, and its something no one can miss when it is visible.  This tattoo could symbolize a big move or change in her life that she felt important to display upon her skin.  The butterfly she chose to have put on her back is the monarch butterfly.  They are known for large migration distances and movements.  The thought process behind her choosing this particular butterfly could correspond to that, such as a job change, getting married, leaving home for the first time, or other huge life experiences.  Even within one tattoo, depending on how the viewer takes their own judgment on it, there can be so many different meanings for getting the tattoo, the only person who knows the true meaning is the person who actually got the tattoo themselves.
